If you have a PC, then you should already have the tools you
need to resize the artwork. I apologize for not including Macintosh
instructions, but I don't have access to a Mac.
First, you'll need to do a little setup, as follows:
- Using your right mouse button, click on the Start
button at the lower left corner of your screen. Pick Open
from the menu it gives you.
- It will give you a menu. Using your left mouse button,
double click on Programs.
- Using your right mouse button, click on a blank area
of the Programs menu. Pick New from the menu that
pops up. Then pick Shortcut from the next pop-up menu.
- The Create Shortcut menu will appear. Click on the
Browse button.
- Double-click on Program Files.
- Double-click on Common Files.
- Double-click on Microsoft Shared.
- Double-click on PhotoEd.
- It will ask you to select a name for the shortcut. Type Photo
Editor in the box.
Now that you've done the above one-time setup, you're ready
to resize the pictures.
You'll see that your Programs folder now has an entry for
Photo Editor. That will always be there from now on when you
left-click on the Start button and pick Programs from its choices.
- Using the instructions elsewhere on this
site, save the graphic you want to your hard disk. Pay attention
to the file's name and which directory you're putting it in,
so you can find it later.
- Select Photo Editor from the Programs folder.
- Click on the File pull-down menu and click on Open.
Use the standard file open screens to locate the graphic file.
- Click on the Image menu at the top of the Photo Editor
screen, and pick Resize.
I'm assuming you'll be able to figure out the rest from there,
and save your changes. If you don't know enough about your computer
to do that, please ask a friend or family member to help you.
