How to Link to This Site
Note from Shira: Guide other people who like belly dancing to this web site! There is no need to
ask permission first -- just go ahead and link to http://www.shira.net.
However, if you tell me you've linked here, I'll link back to your site in return.
Here is sample html to make the link as
plain text:
<P><A HREF="http://www.shira.net/">All About Belly Dance, By Shira.</A> A web site to educate,
entertain, and inspire people who love belly dancing!</P>
Link Buttons
Some people like to use text links, while others prefer to use graphics that represent the site they are linking to. Here is a collection of buttons to choose from for linking to Shira.net. Each of the images below is available in assorted colors. Some have white backgrounds, some black, some other colors, and some transparent.
Here is how to create a link using one of these buttons:
- Click on the image of your choice.
- Download the "zip" file to a suitable directory on your computer.
- Use either Windows Explorer or a suitable utility on a Macintosh to examine the images inside the zip file and choose one.
- Drag the selected image to the directory on your computer that contains your web site's links page.
- Put html on your links page that resembles this:
<A HREF=""http://www.shira.net/"><IMG SRC="http://www._____/conebutton4.gif" ALIGN="BOTTOM" BORDER="0" ALT="Shira.net - All About Belly Dance, By Shira"></A>
(You'll need to replace the blanks with the specific location of the file on your web site.)
- Copy the image you selected to your remote web host at the same time you upload your modified web page. (Make sure the name of the file matches the name in quotes following "IMG SRC=".)

Old Favorites
The buttons below were designed to match the dominant images of the original look and feel of Shira.net that prevailed from 1997 through 2008. Although these images are no longer used as primary design elements on Shira.net, they remain popular as link buttons and you are still welcome to use them.
