Ma Navu
(How Beautiful)

This page contains a translation into English of the lyrics to the popular Israeli song "Ma Navu", which is widely used for folk dancing. Also included is a transliteration of the Hebrew lyrics into the Roman alphabet so you can sing along if you like. The original artist was Ofra Fuchs.

The folk dance that many international folk dance clubs do to this song was choreographed by Rivka Spivak in 1975.

The song lyrics were inspired by Isaiah 52:7, which says, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things."

Song lyrics are provided for educational purposes. If you like the song, please purchase either the album or a download from an authorized source.

Music: Yossi Spivak
