About Tamer Hosni
Tamer Hosni is is a multi-talented Egyptian singer, actor, composer, director and songwriter. He was born in 1977 in Cairo to an Egyptian father and Syrian mother. As a child, he was lonely due to having an absentee father and being far away from his mother's family. He earned a college degree in mass communication from 6th of October University in Cairo, then moved on to pursue a singing career.
Hosni was given an opportunity to perform in a show at the Cairo Opera House, where he met producer Nasr Mahrous. This friendship opened doors for Hosni to release his first successful album, which launched his career. Under Mahrous' mentorship and support, he was able to achieve stardom both in music and in the movies.
Hosni has released more than 10 albums, composed music for 19 films, and acted in 18 films. He said in an interview, "My favorite title is just being called an Egyptian Arab artist when performing abroad." |
