A Review of
Wee Wee Monsieur
starring The Three Stooges
Summary
Overall Rating: (on a scale of 1 to 5 stars)
Wee Wee Monsieur is a short (approximately 15 minutes in length) film that is usually packaged on the same tape or disk as other Three Stooges episodes. The four-star rating Shira gave this episode applies only to this one episode and does not apply to other episodes that may be on the same tape or disk.
No belly dancer's video party could be complete without showing the harem scene of Wee Wee Monsieur, starring Larry, Moe, and Curly dressed up as harem girls and dancing with the women of the harem.

Description
As the video opens, the Three Stooges are starving artists scraping for money. They accidentally join the French Foreign Legion and are put in charge of guarding their Captain, with the expected unsuccessful results.
In their attempt to rescue their Captain, they stumble into the local bad guy's harem and dress up as harem women to escape detection. About 14 minutes into it, the harem women (including the three new additions) do a dance for the man of the house.
The Stooges appearing in this video are Larry, Moe, and Curly. It was released in 1938, and portrays the harem in a 1938 Three Stooges kind of way. It's definitely a scene worth showing at a video party for belly dancers.
Is It Right for You?
You Will Probably Enjoy This Movie If
- You would enjoy seeing the Three Stooges dressed up as harem
women and dancing for the lord of the harem.
- You're a passionate fan of the Three Stooges.
- Slapstick amuses you.
This Movie Probably Isn't Right for You If
- You've outgrown the Three Stooges and their style of humor.
What I Liked, What I Didn't
What I Liked:
- The harem scene with the Three Stooges dressed up in women's clothes and dancing.
What I Didn't Like:
- The more violent slapstick gags.
In Conclusion
The first time I saw this show was at a party at a fellow dancer's house, and I thought the dance scene was hilarious. But I'll readily admit that the Three Stooges are sort of a specialized humor, and they're not for everybody.
