Introduction
This flyer advertises the 1935 film called Shagaret el Dor which was about the life of Egypt's final queen who ruled in her own right, Shagaret el Dor. It starred Lebanese actress/director Assia Dagher. Assia Dagher was the aunt of Mary Queeny, another well-known and influential woman in Egypt's Golden Era movie industry. Mary Queeny also appeared in this film. This movie was billed as the first historical Egyptian film ever made. The picture on the movie flyer below shows Assia Dagher and Abdel Rahman Rushdie.
