Introduction
This double advertisement appeared in Al Ahram's section called "Where Will You Go Tonight?" on April 5, 1930, page 6. It promoted two nightclubs on Emad el-Din Street in Cairo. One was operated by Soad Mahasen, and the other by Badia Masabni.
Soad Mahasen was the club owner who took in the young Taheya Carioca and protected her when she arrived in Cairo. Soad later placed Taheya in Badia Masabni's care.
