Introduction

This is a translation of a flyer that appeared in Opera Square (also known as Ibrahim Pasha Square) in Cairo in autumn 1940. It advertises a new show at the Casino Opera, a nightclub owned by Badia Masabni that would be starting November 30.

Priscilla is a dancer of Lebanese heritage who enjoys researching the Golden Era of Egyptian dance. She owns a collection of more than one hundred classic black and white Egyptian films which is continually expanding.
