Introduction

Where the Information Came From

In most cases, the composer information shown in the list below came from the liner notes that came with a music album that included a recording of the song. Liner notes are not always accurate. Every effort has been made to make this information as accurate as possible, but mistakes can happen. Your understanding is appreciated.

About the Alphabetizing

I realize that the usual convention in the English language for alphabetizing lists of names is to list them in the format "last, first". However, before deciding to create this page, I had started a spreadsheet listing songs along with their composers, and in my spreadsheet, I had listed the composers' names in the form "first last". I wasn't eager to alphabetize a list of 500 items manually, nor did I want to re-key all of them into the format of "last, first", so I just let the spreadsheet alphabetize by first names.
